WILLIAM R. “MIKE” SCOTT, PhD

Prior to joining BRC in 1989, Dr. Mike Scott served as a research engineer with KRUG International and managed the Engineering Test Laboratory at Lancaster, New York-based Scott Aviation. His post-doctoral fellowship in the State University of New York Physiology Department included the evaluation of human test subject respiratory systems.

Though the majority of his consulting currently focuses on high speed impacts, Dr. Scott has been retained in a variety of other injury cases, and has been asked to reconstruct scenarios involving watercraft, industrial equipment, railroads, and pedestrian incidents.

Dr. Scott was instrumental in the development of BRC’s patented System Force-Deformation Modeling Apparatus, better known as the “Bumper Crusher.”
